|
| THICKNESS |
|
A full 1/2" thick of heat and sound insulating felt layers, which prevents warping.
|
Approximately, 7/16" and in some cases only 3/8" thick solid
fiberboard core and according
to test results can warp with age. |
| |
|
ADHESIVES |
|
High strength, permanently
FLEXIBLE water-based adhesives
are used in all areas.
These adhesives assure a resilient
bond, thus eliminating any
potential warping problem.
|
Staples or hot melt (animal glue) adhesives are most commonly
used. Staples can separate or
become exposed to the table
surface. Hot melt (animal glue) adhesives do become rigid
causing pad warping or retain
a
glue odor.
Stitching is still used by some companies today. Stitching holes
may allow liquids or food
particles to work down into the
interior of the table pads.
Stitching is also vulnerable to
being cut or wearing thin causing
a separation of the vinyl from the
core of the table pads. |

|
| BOTTOM COVERS |
|
Duravel (DV) is standard.
DV is a precision acrylic nylon flock laminated to a heavy cloth backing.
This material was carefully
selected
for it's durability, soft
finish and high chemical stability.
Don't be fooled
by competitors
using close spellings
of our trademarked product. |
Cotton back is standard.
Suede back is an option at
extra cost to you.

|
|
| HEAT RESISTANCE |
|
The laboratory test results indicate
550 degrees protection at the table surface against accidental heat
sources. Through the buildup of
interior insulating felt, our
Elite Table Pad
offers the most
protection that
you can depend on.
|
Laboratory results indicate solid fiberboard core corrugation
or paper does not have the heat resistant characteristics as our felt layers. Heat shields are foil faced papers that offer to protect but,
actually aid in conducting heat.
To our knowledge there are
no laboratory test results available regards their heat resistance claims. |

|
| PAD LOCKING DEVICES |
|
Interlok, is our patented locking
device that is simple to use,
locks
in
two directions and is out
of sight
when
in use. These locks
are made
of a
poly-carbonate
plastic that is
renowned for
it's durability and
resistance
to breakage. |
Plastic or metal moving parts fasten with a metal rivet which
can eventually wear out or break through the interior. |
